Côte d’Ivoire.- In a clear demonstration of the positive impact of lottery revenues, the Côte d’Ivoire National Lottery (LONACI) Foundation has handed over four medically equipped ambulances to rural and peri-urban health centres, boosting emergency care and improving healthcare access.

LONACI said: “Through this action, the LONACI Foundation reaffirms its will to contribute effectively to the strengthening of the national health system and to the improvement of the conditions of taking care of populations, especially in rural and peri-urban areas.”

The handover ceremony, held at the foundation’s headquarters in Abidjan‑Cocody, brought together high-level officials, including the Director General of the Côte d’Ivoire National Lottery, Dramane Coulibaly, the prefectural body, the President of the Regional Council of Iffou, Mr. Traoré Adam-Kolia, the Vice-President of the CNDH, the Mayor of M’Bahiakro, representatives from the Ministry of Health and leaders of the beneficiary health centres.

The ambulances were delivered to Digbognoa Rural Health Centre in Gagnoa, the Urban Health Centre of N’Zécrezessou in Bocanda, Kouassikro Rural Health Centre in M’Bahiakro, and Kossandji Rural Health Centre in Alépé.

By providing rural centres with these ambulances, the Foundation is helping to ensure faster emergency responses, improve patient outcomes and demonstrate concretely how lottery revenues can benefit national development.

As the LONACI Foundation expands its outreach, communities across Côte d’Ivoire are seeing firsthand how the gaming industry can be a positive force – turning the lottery into life-saving opportunity.
