Botswana Gambling Authority seeks ICT systems & infrastructure officer

Botswana.- The Botswana Gambling Authority has opened a vacancy for an ICT systems & infrastructure officer, as the regulator moves to strengthen its internal technology, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure capabilities.
The successful candidate will report to the chief digital officer and will be responsible for maintaining the organisation’s ICT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cloud services, networks, cybersecurity controls and end-user computing environment.
According to the vacancy announcement, the role is intended to provide reliable and secure ICT operations across the Authority while supporting its wider digital and business requirements.
The officer will manage operating systems, storage, cloud services and core ICT infrastructure, while monitoring their availability and performance. The role also covers network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless networks, internet connectivity and virtual private network (VPN) services.
The successful applicant will also support a range of enterprise and business systems used by the Gambling Authority. These include regulatory systems, responsible gambling platforms, finance and human resources systems, as well as the regulator’s website, intranet and document management systems.
Cybersecurity will also be part of the role, with the officer overseeing endpoint protection, email security, patch management and other security controls.
The regulator requires three to five years of relevant experience in ICT infrastructure, systems administration, network administration or related operations. Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory, Windows Server, networks, firewalls, backup systems and endpoint environments is also considered an advantage.
