Botswana Gambling Authority partners Business of Sports Summit 2026
The authority aims to engage with stakeholders across the regulated gambling industry and the sports ecosystem.
Botswana.- The Gambling Authority has announced its partnership with the Business of Sports Summit 2026, scheduled to take place on June 25 and 26 at the Gaborone International Convention Centre in Botswana.
The summit is expected to bring together sports administrators, business leaders, policymakers, investors, athletes and industry stakeholders to explore opportunities for growth, innovation and commercial development within the sports sector.
Through the partnership, the authority aims to engage with stakeholders across the regulated gambling industry and the sports ecosystem while promoting responsible gambling practices and sustainable industry development.
The authority said its participation aligns with its broader mandate to ensure a well-regulated gambling environment that contributes to economic growth while safeguarding consumers and maintaining the integrity of sports.
It noted that sports betting remains one of the largest segments of the gambling industry in many jurisdictions, making developments within the sports sector highly relevant to regulators and gaming operators alike.
The Business of Sports Summit has emerged as a key platform for discussions on sports business, sponsorship, governance, technology, infrastructure development and investment opportunities across Africa. The 2026 edition is expected to feature panel discussions, networking sessions and presentations from regional and international experts.
