Botswana.- The Gambling Authority of Botswana has conducted a Responsible Gambling Refresher Training programme for gaming operator VPB Gaming as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen player protection and regulatory compliance across the country’s gambling sector.

The training, held on June 17, covered identifying problem gambling behaviour, applying customer interaction protocols and implementing self-exclusion procedures in line with regulatory requirements. The authority said continuous education is central to helping operators identify and address gambling-related risks while maintaining operational standards.

The regulator said refresher programmes are designed to equip licensed operators with the latest tools and knowledge needed to support player well-being. The initiative also aims to enhance compliance with industry regulations and encourage the adoption of best practices throughout the sector. It added that similar sessions will be extended to other operators to ensure consistent application of responsible gambling requirements across the industry.
