Betway Mozambique invests in Nampula basketball talent

Mozambique.- Betway Mozambique has reinforced its commitment to community engagement and local sports development by recently sponsoring the Provincial Basketball Tournament in Nampula Province.
The sponsorship saw Betway providing the tournament teams with professional-grade basketball kits featuring its logo on the front of jerseys. The operator also donated trophies and medals to honour the winners and participants. In return, the Nampula Provincial Basketball Association renamed the tournament to “Betway Basketball Nampula”.
The Provincial Basketball Tournament provides young basketball players in Nampula Province with a stage to demonstrate their talents. The competition, which commenced on Saturday, May 17, featured nine men’s teams and five women’s teams. The tournament will determine the three teams from the region to advance to the Mozal League qualifiers.

Albino Dimene, president of the Nampula Provincial Basketball Association, said that Betway’s involvement will boost the tournament’s profile and increase competitiveness.
