Megapari names Asamoah Gyan global brand ambassador
The former Ghana captain is the company’s latest signing ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana.- Betting operator Megapari has named former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan as its new global brand ambassador. The deal was announced at a launch event in Accra on May 23.
Gyan said: “Today, I’m proud to become a brand ambassador for Megapari ahead of the 2026 World Cup.”
The former striker remains one of the most recognisable figures in African football. He is Ghana’s all-time leading goalscorer with 51 international goals and holds the record as Africa’s highest-scoring player in FIFA World Cup history with six goals.
Gyan enjoyed a professional career spanning nearly two decades, featuring for clubs in England, Italy, France, the United Arab Emirates, China, Turkey and India. He is also remembered for helping Ghana reach the quarter-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, matching the furthest progression by an African nation at the tournament.
