BetKing rolls out JJ BallX game with Jay Jay Okocha
The operator has launched a N5 million promo to celebrate the game’s debut.
Nigeria.- Sports betting operator BetKing has partnered with Nigerian football legend Jay Jay Okocha to launch JJ BallX, a street football-themed crash game.
JJ BallX is designed to replicate the excitement of Nigeria’s street football scene. The visuals in the game are inspired by Nigerian street life, and the central character “JJ” is modelled after Okocha, making it more engaging and relatable.
The game was unveiled at a press conference held at BetKing’s Astroturf on May 6, 2025.
At the briefing, BetKing also announced that it would be attempting a Guinness World Record for the most people keeping a football in the air simultaneously. The event, scheduled for June 2025, will feature 2,000 participants and be run by Okocha.
Speaking at the media event, Okocha shared his enthusiasm about the new game and the record attempt. He said: “JJ BallX is a celebration of the vibrancy and talent inherent in street football, something that is very close to my heart. By attempting this record, we hope to bring together thousands of people, uniting in our shared passion for the beautiful game and creating a memorable moment in football history.”
Meanwhile, BetKing has launched a ₦5 million (€2,810) promo campaign to celebrate the game’s debut.
The promo, which started on May 6, will run through June 6, 2025. Fifty lucky players will win ₦100,000 cashback each by staking at least ₦5,000 on JJ BallX during the promo period.
