Betcamp appoints Samson Siasia and Mighty George as brand ambassadors
The partnerships form part of Betcamp’s strategy to increase brand visibility.
Nigeria.- Nigerian sports betting operator Betcamp has appointed former Super Eagles player and coach Samson Siasia and broadcaster Mighty George as brand ambassadors as it seeks to build its presence in the country’s betting market.
The appointments were announced during an unveiling event at the company’s headquarters in Abuja, less than two weeks after Betcamp launched operations on May 25, 2026. The event also included the signing of ambassadorial agreements and discussions on future collaborations.
The partnerships form part of Betcamp’s strategy to increase brand visibility and connect with sports fans through well-known figures from the sports and media sectors.
Siasia brings extensive football experience to the role. As a player, he was part of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad in 1994 and represented the country at the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He later moved into coaching, leading Nigeria’s U-20 team to the FIFA U-20 World Cup final in 2005 and guiding the national Olympic team to silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Earlier this year, Siasia was appointed an ambassador for the West African region of the African Union Sports Council, where he is involved in sports development initiatives across 15 countries.
As part of the agreement, Mighty George will host “Inside The Camp”, a podcast backed by Betcamp that will feature interviews with sports personalities, entertainers, business leaders and other public figures.
Betcamp said the appointments support its efforts to grow its brand and engage with customers through sports and entertainment content. The company described both ambassadors as respected figures with strong public recognition in their respective fields.
The appointments are among the company’s first major marketing initiatives since entering the Nigerian market. Betcamp said it plans to roll out additional promotional and customer engagement activities in multiple cities as it expands its operations.
