Benin National Lottery trades on West African Stock Exchange in 2026

Shares of Benin’s National Lottery (LNB) remain active on the BRVM, highlighting its dual role as a national lottery operator and a publicly traded company.

Benin.- Benin’s National Lottery (LNB) continues to operate not only as the country’s official lottery provider but also as a publicly listed company, with its shares actively traded on the regional stock exchange in 2026.

The lottery operator is listed on the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM), the West African regional stock exchange, allowing investors across the region to buy and sell shares in the company. LNB is both the national lottery operator and a publicly traded business, meaning its financial performance and share activity are now part of the investment landscape.

The BRVM said in its official trading report: “According to the BRVM, Benin’s National Lottery shares were traded on Friday, February 6, 2026, closing at 3 940 XOF (€6), with a positive 1.03 per cent variation.”

LNB balances gaming and growth

LNB entered the stock market through its initial public offering (IPO) in December 2024. At the time, Daba Finance reported: “LNB rose 4.1 per cent in its debut on the BRVM following its $69m initial public offering.”

The company has since outlined plans to expand its digital offerings, including online lottery and virtual gaming platforms, as part of its modernisation strategy.

As a listed company, LNB is subject to financial reporting and market disclosure requirements, strengthening transparency and giving investors direct exposure to a regulated lottery operator. Company profiles also note that LNB historically supports social and cultural initiatives in Benin as part of its broader mandate.

With confirmed share trading in 2026, LNB remains firmly positioned at the intersection of lottery operations and public markets, reinforcing its status as both a national gaming operator and a participant in West Africa’s capital markets.
