Angola’s Lottery Regulator and Bantu Bet launch classroom for children with special needs
ISJ and Bantu Bet open adapted classroom in Luanda, boosting inclusive education for children on the autism spectrum.
Angola.- The Instituto de Supervisão de Jogos (ISJ), Angola’s lottery and gambling regulator, has partnered with betting operator Bantu Bet to inaugurate a specially adapted classroom for children with special educational needs, marking a major step forward for inclusive education in the country.
The initiative stems from a Memorandum of Understanding between ISJ and Bantu Bet aimed at supporting social-benefit projects. The newly created “Sala Adaptada” (Adapted Room) provides a dedicated learning environment tailored to the needs of children on the autism spectrum, reinforcing the partners’ commitment to empowering learners who often face barriers in mainstream schools.
In a statement, ISJ described the project as “a significant milestone in building a more inclusive education”. The regulator said: “The classroom is intended to provide children with special educational needs a space where their physical, cognitive and sensory requirements are respected.”
The adapted classroom is located in the Rangel district of Luanda. Bantu Bet emphasised its commitment to social responsibility, highlighting that the space is “fully equipped to meet the needs of children on the autism spectrum”.
Regulator and operator empower students
The opening ceremony brought together representatives from both ISJ and Bantu Bet, highlighting their shared vision for leveraging collaboration between a regulator and a licensed operator to deliver social impact beyond the gaming sector.
The adapted classroom will benefit 34 children with autism at the school. The ISJ said that the adapted room is part of a wider effort to strengthen inclusive educational environments by ensuring that children with autism spectrum conditions have access to supportive, properly equipped spaces.
By establishing the adapted classroom, ISJ and Bantu Bet demonstrate how the regulated gaming industry can play a constructive role in community development, potentially paving the way for similar social-impact partnerships across the sector.
