Focus Gaming News conducted an insightful interview with Vigan Safarian Chief Product Officer at Galaxsys, at the recent SiGMA Central Europe event. The discussion delved into Galaxis' evolving strategy, product development, and the crucial role of player engagement.

Safarian highlighted Galaxis' intensified focus on the B2C sector, aiming for direct engagement with their customers – the players themselves. He explained that it's "very essential to be in a direct contact with our end user like players" to gather comprehensive information on their behaviour, feelings, and desired experiences. While B2B promotion remains important, Safarian emphasised that "if B2C doesn't expect that the result will not be the same," underscoring the necessity of player-centric marketing.

To achieve this direct engagement, Galaxis leverages contemporary methods such as streamers and affiliates. Safarian noted that "streamers, the affiliates all these kind of activities are making the game performance in much more higher level," recognising the power of social platforms for interaction and driving game traffic. This approach facilitates a vital two-way communication channel, enabling Galaxis to understand market reception for their games.

The interview also touched upon Galaxis' successful game naming strategy, particularly the popularity of "Crash" titles. Safarian observed that "the Crash itself became very popular nowadays and whenever people look like there is a Crash type title they want to try it." Galaxis strategically uses this to capture attention for games, even those not strictly "classic crash types," citing the immense popularity of Tower Rush and the recently launched Chicken Crash. He advised that "as game provider you should accept and understand all aspects that bring benefits to your product."

At the Sigma event, Galaxis' B2B focus involved launching new games like Chicken Crash with innovative adaptations and features, such as left-hand mode and multi-step functionalities. These enhancements aim to provide fresh experiences of existing game concepts.

Critically, Safarian reiterated that "customer feedback is the main source for us to understand the market to understand what player wants from our games." He stressed that listening to end-players is imperative for all game providers. However, he also cautioned against simply implementing every suggestion verbatim, explaining that a process is needed to "analyse, you should filter out and then as a good product provide them what they want at the end."
