During SBC Summit Lisbon 2025, Focus Gaming News sat down with Razvan Haiduc, the new Chief Product Officer at Relum, to discuss the company's strategy for market expansion and content aggregation.
Haiduc confirmed that Relum's primary focus is on "growing a lot in regulated markets," highlighting recent launches in Greece, Romania, and Brazil, with Peru, Colombia, and the UK on the horizon. He also acknowledged the challenges of balancing new regulatory requirements with existing product needs.
Addressing Relum's vast portfolio, Haiduc offered a pragmatic view. "The reality is most operators don't want 30, 40, 50,000 games," he said. "Most operators want the last 100 and perhaps the best performing a thousand." The strategy, therefore, is to have the most comprehensive content library possible. "Nobody knows who the next NoLimit City will be," he explained. "They were always small. They had a breakout game. We want to have as much content as possible, especially since, in the various markets, only some content is relevant."
When tackling a new market, Haiduc described a collaborative approach. Relum enters with its existing portfolio and then actively seeks feedback from local operators to identify what's missing. "The operator will tell you, we want these, we want that, have you heard of these? And then we contact them, we discuss, we agree, and that's how we move forward."
Looking ahead, Haiduc sees a clear path for the company. "It's the year of regulation, more markets, more opportunities," he stated, pointing towards further expansion in LatAm and Europe. He added that this growth will happen in parallel with the continued development of its products, particularly by "building more tools" for gamification.
