Maksym Shtun, Slotegrator: “Prediction markets could bring a new category of people into the casino

During SBC Summit Lisbon 2026, Focus Gaming News sat down with Maksym Shtun, Product Owner at Slotegrator, to discuss prediction markets, the company’s new P2P product and what it means for operators.
Shtun described prediction markets as “a source of people’s wisdom”, where users put money behind their opinion on events that need no sports feed, from weather conditions to local news. The questions are usually created by content managers who track what interests their audience and design events accordingly.
Slotegrator’s product, called Predictor, is a P2P solution that operators can integrate into the company’s platform, alone or alongside casino and a classic sportsbook. Customers can create their own events and manage their own commission and images.
On risk, Shtun argued that the P2P model changes the operator’s position: “The operator is not on the side of an enemy for the player.” Because players compete against each other, he said, no operator money is involved and the operator acts as “a bank” that handles transactions and earns a commission. Its responsibilities are to create events fairly, with a transparent data source and resolution method, and to resolve them correctly. “There is no risk for the operator,” he said, “provided they are not cheating.”
He also suggested prediction markets could bring a new type of user into the casino, people who want to share and test their opinions rather than play slots or sportsbook. For sportsbook players, he added, they remove the limits and restrictions operators often impose out of fear of big winners.
At the time of the interview, the product was live only for Slotegrator’s platform customers, with a wider release planned through a classic API and iframe integration.
