Hristiana Stefanova, ReferOn: “We have an individual approach to each of the clients”

No waiting for tickets to be resolved is the pitch behind ReferOn’s affiliate tracking platform, Hristiana Stefanova, Head of Partnerships at the company, told Focus Gaming News at SBC Summit Lisbon 2026, where she set out how it supports operators and affiliates.

Stefanova said ReferOn takes an individual approach to each client. It begins with business calls to understand requirements and target markets, followed by a technical scoping session, with the aim of advising operators on how to optimise their business and strategy. The platform also lets large affiliates with several geos use a single group account, from which they can monitor their sub-affiliates, while each market sees only what it needs to see. According to Stefanova, this helps operators streamline their work.

On integration, she said ReferOn provides an API guide and puts its tech team in direct contact with the client’s tech team: “It’s four endpoints they need to integrate, and that’s it.” Needs vary by market, she explained. Regulated markets increasingly ask for compliance features, including KYC monitoring of affiliates and specialised integrations with KYC software, while some clients want the system connected to a payment gateway. She said the software has no limitations on volumes.

For support, she said ReferOn offers 24/7 assistance through its integration and operations teams, with a Slack channel and a phone line. What sets it apart from other tracking software, she argued, is that clients “don’t need to go through the account manager, open a ticket, wait for five days to resolve it”.

Stefanova also noted that affiliates are increasingly building closed communities on Telegram and becoming more creative, like streamers and other influencers, a shift she has seen over her 10 years in the industry.
