During the SiGMA South America event in Brazil, Focus Gaming News spoke with Gevorg Rushanyan, Head of the LatAm Region at Digitain, about the company’s evolution, technological innovation, and strategy in emerging markets. Rushanyan reflected on his nearly decade-long journey in the industry, describing Digitain as “a family” and highlighting its transformation into a leading global provider. He emphasised how the company has not only witnessed but actively contributed to the development of new markets worldwide. A central theme of the discussion was technological progress. Rushanyan noted that Digitain’s current platform is “nothing near” what it was ten years ago, having evolved through continuous development and collective effort. Today, innovation is driven largely by artificial intelligence (AI), which plays a critical role in both front-end and back-end operations. AI is used to deliver a “customised player experience,” while also supporting risk management, transaction monitoring, and operational efficiency. He explained that AI enables a multi-layered approach, helping operators identify VIP players, manage fraud risks, and handle high volumes of traffic—particularly during major sporting events such as the World Cup. Digitain’s long-term preparation for these events includes not only technological readiness but also the development of new tools designed to keep operators competitive. A key differentiator, Rushanyan stressed, is education. Beyond building advanced features, Digitain prioritises “teaching operators how to use those tools,” ensuring they can fully leverage the platform’s capabilities. This is supported by a fully modular ecosystem, allowing operators to tailor solutions—ranging from sportsbook and CRM to gamification and affiliate systems—based on the specific needs of each market. Discussing Latin America, Rushanyan highlighted sport as a primary gateway into gaming, reinforcing the region’s strategic importance. He described Digitain’s presence in São Paulo as both an achievement and a reflection of the company’s long-term vision: “We always dream big,” he said, while emphasising that sustained success ultimately depends on consistent effort and adaptability. Overall, the interview underscored Digitain’s commitment to innovation, localisation, and operator empowerment as key pillars of its expansion in the fast-growing LatAm market.
