During SBC Summit Lisbon 2025, Focus Gaming News spoke with Cyryl Topalov, Head of Sales at FROGO, about the company’s all-in-one fraud prevention system and how the concept of trust is a core business objective, not just a marketing slogan.
Topalov explained that FROGO’s platform is designed not only to stop malicious actors but also to identify and better serve trusted customers, ultimately helping operators to increase their revenue. He said: “We as a company see it not only as reducing fraud losses but also increasing your revenue and working with the trusted users based on certain metrics.” He gave a practical example of this, noting that with one major client, they achieved “98 per cent of automated payouts,” which allows trusted customers to have a better and faster service.
To achieve this, FROGO employs a multi-layered technological approach. It begins with a proprietary device fingerprinting technology that analyses over 200 different factors, including geolocation and device specifics. This is combined with behavioural biometrics, which monitors how a user interacts with a website, such as their mouse movements and typing patterns. All this data is fed into a rescoring engine that assesses user behaviour, like deposit frequency and betting patterns, to assign a simple risk score: green, yellow, or red. This automates processes for trusted users while flagging suspicious accounts for manual review.
Topalov emphasised the importance of striking a balance between robust security and a frictionless user experience. He positioned fraud prevention as an operator’s essential first step in the compliance journey. “We see fraud prevention as a first line of defence, before even the process of KYC document verification, sanction screening, AML and so on,” he commented.
When asked how FROGO keeps pace with the evolving tactics of organised crime, Topalov acknowledged the constant challenge. He described it as a “never-ending race because when we have a solution for some fraud problem, fraudsters are always looking for another solution.” He added that FROGO leverages its global experience and the deep expertise of its team to anticipate new threats and protect its partners from day one.
Finally, while FROGO’s roots are in the gaming industry, its services are not limited to it. “We were born in igaming, but we are not focusing only in igaming,” Topalov noted. He explained that any digital service facing fraud can benefit from their system, as the data gathered is valuable not just for risk departments but also for marketing and retention teams, making it a truly comprehensive solution.
