Artur David, Kerma Games: “Having premium IP games with celebrities actually means that players will remember them”

Shows & conferences - 14 October, 2026

During SBC Summit Lisbon 2026, Focus Gaming News sat down with Artur David, Sales Manager at Kerma Games, to discuss the company’s celebrity-licensed games, its Snoop Dogg campaign at the show and its plans for sports and branded tables.

David explained that SBC was Kerma Games’ first big public outing, and that the company’s pitch addresses a common problem: operators and aggregators all have “the same thousands of games”. Kerma’s answer, he said, is games players actually remember, built around premium intellectual property with celebrities. Besides Snoop Dogg, these include Sexyy Red and Lil Baby, and the company is now moving into sports with a collaboration with Luka Modrić.

Celebrity IP, he argued, helps both acquisition and retention, since players browsing a lobby of thousands of titles are more likely to notice and remember a familiar name. Kerma also differs from traditional studios, he said, by helping operators with marketing: they can use the IP in their own promotional content. Snoop Dogg’s involvement goes beyond lending his face, he added, as he contributes his voice, music and environment to the games.

At the show, Kerma launched The Next Episode, a campaign that will run until the end of June next year. It offers 100 invites for clients, who can bring a plus one, to Snoop Dogg’s birthday event in October next year, plus 10 invites for anyone in the industry. David described the response at the stand as very positive, with operators and aggregators already familiar with the brand.

Looking ahead, David said Kerma plans to add more footballers and other sports figures, which he could not yet name. The company is also launching branded tables from its own studios in Monterrey, Mexico, staffed by people from across Latin America to reflect local language differences.
