Yggdrasil to get licensed in Gibraltar
The gaming company based in Malta submitted the formal application on February 8th and expects the licensing process to be finalised shortly.
Gibraltar.- Yggdrasil Gaming has submitted its formal application for a B2B remote gaming license to the Gibraltar Licensing Authority. Following the company’s expansion trend and after receiving a license from the UK Gambling Commission, Yggdrasil has shown a remarkable growth in the last year, releasing many new games and signing new operators.
The supplier’s portfolio includes: Chibeasties, Cyrus the Virus, Cazino Zeppelin, Jokerizer, Winterberries, Reef Run, Dark Joker Rizes, Vikings Go Wild, progressive jackpot Joker Millions, Holmes and the Stolen Stones, Doubles and Nirvana.
“We were over the moon to be invited to apply for a Gibraltar licence. It’s an exclusive jurisdiction, with a number of the major operators based there, and we believe it will be a fantastic new hunting ground for us,” said Fredrik Elmqvist, Yggdrasil’s CEO. “We’ve pretty much covered all the player liquidity available from the operators in Malta, so now is the time for us to be targeting Gibraltar where we will be building up our presence. We’ll be putting some people on the ground in Gibraltar and are actively recruiting. We strongly believe we can hit the ground running as we have carved out a niche for ourselves that is different from other suppliers,” he added.
