Wyoming sports betting handle reports $12.62m in April

According to the Wyoming Gaming Commission, the sports betting handle was up 21 per cent from April 2022.

US.- Wyoming’s sports betting handle reached $12.62m in April, according to the Wyoming Gaming Commission. That’s down 15 per cent compared to the $14.78 generated in March but up 21 per cent from April 2022’s $9.99m.

Gross gaming revenue was $1.26m, a 25 per cent yearly increase from $1m in April 2022 but down 31 per cent month-over-month from $1.84m in March. Adjusted taxable revenue from Wyoming’s sportsbooks almost doubled year-on-year to $828,477 (down from $1.3m in March). Wyoming sportsbook operators paid tax of $82,848, more than April 2022’s $51,187 but less than March’s 130,677.

DraftKings remained the leading Wyoming operator, taking 58.6 per cent of all bets. BetMGM took 28.8 per cent of the market, FanDuel 10.3 per cent and Caesars 2.3 per cent.

Online sports betting was authorised in Wyoming in early September 2021, and it was the 23rd to begin operations.
