Wynn Resorts is investigated in Massachusetts

Wynn Resorts case in Massachusetts continues as Justice investigates the licensing process.

US.- The Suffolk County (Massachusetts) Superior Court is investigating how Wynn Resorts obtained its gaming licence for its US$2.5 billion venue in Massachusetts, US. The expected casino will be located in Everett, although the venue has faced several investigations since the American company announced the development plans.

Forbes explains that the investigation would resolve the controversial licensing process in Massachusetts through which Wynn Resorts obtained the Everett’s licence. “Judge Mitchell Kaplan is expected to rule this month on a case involving the land sale transaction between Wynn Resort and FBT Everett Realty LLC (FBT), a small three-person MA limited liability company.”

Meanwhile, the Steve Wynn sex scandal continues to haunt Wynn Resorts as the Massachusetts Gaming Commission has agreed to hold a public hearing on a request to remove the mogul’s name from a licence to operate a casino resort near Boston. However, the businessman’s attorney replied to the regulator and explained he’s not related to the project anymore.

Despite the mogul stepping down as the company’s CEO, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) has said it will continue to move ahead with its investigation of the company.
