Wynn Resorts announces new appointment
The casino operator appointed Erik Hansen as the new and first chief sustainability officer.
US.- Wynn Resorts has decided to innovate within the company and has created a new role for Erik Hansen, who will act as the first chief sustainability officer. Hansen will be in charge of the development of the company’s global sustainability strategy and energy procurement goals.
Kim Sinatra, executive vice president and general counsel for Wynn Resorts, said: “Erik has proven to be a visionary as we continue to deepen our company’s sustainability strategy and make monumental moves towards taking control of our energy future.”
“His experience extends across all facets of environmental protection and government regulation, and his understanding of cutting-edge technologies will continue to shape our use of a new generation of renewable resources,” she added.
Hansen has already served as director of energy procurement for Wynn Resorts and has been a key player in instituting several large-scale sustainability and renewable energy projects for the casino company.
