It has also increased the length of mandatory breaks in play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The restrictions apply to the online casino games that it views as presenting the highest risk of gambling-related harm: KongKasino, eFlax, Bingoria and Yezz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The monthly loss limit has been cut by 25 per cent to NOK7,500 ($848.33), while the daily loss limit has been lowered by 50 per cent to NOK2,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mandatory breaks after one hour of continuous play have been increased from 90 seconds to 15 minutes, while the &#8220;popular&#8217; label has been removed from some games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company will also stop sending email or text marketing messages to customers aged between 18 and 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The measures come after the Norwegian government announced the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/norway-allocates-nok15m-to-tackle-problem-gambling\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>allocation of NOK15m to tackle problem gambling<\/em><\/strong><\/a> in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Norsk Tipping CEO \u00c5sne Havnelid said: &#8220;We know that gambling problems are increasing in the population, and that December is our biggest gambling month.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The measures against COVID-19 mean that more people can experience spending more time alone than they usually do during the Christmas month.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;For vulnerable players, this can lead to more gambling and we want to prevent that.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said it will analyse the impact of the measures using the digital analysis tool PlayScan to decide whether to extend them beyond the end of January.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The gaming operator has reduced monthly loss limits by up to 50 per cent on what it classifies as &#8220;high-risk games&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":166,"featured_media":81036,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[17,61],"tags":[60,1310],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/81035"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/166"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=81035"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/81035\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":81079,"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/81035\/revisions\/81079"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/81036"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=81035"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=81035"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=81035"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
