This new tax will come into force on March 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Current regulations establish that state lotteries attract 12% GST and private ones are subject to a 28% tax, Times of India reported. The proposal ended up with 21 votes in favour and seven against it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe went ahead with a decision to have a vote. So it\u2019s not imposed by the <strong><em>Council<\/em><\/strong>, it\u2019s not imposed by me as the Chair, but it was on a request from one member,\u201d said Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who heads the council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Goa: offshore casino to be moved<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The state government passed an order in late November to <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/deltin-offshore-casino-moved\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><em>move one offshore casino<\/em><\/strong><\/a> from the Panaji side to the Verem side. The floating casino belongs to <strong><em>Deltin Group<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deltin Group asked the government the permission to move one of the three vessels that it operates in the state. \u201cBased on the application, we have passed an order to shift Deltin Caravela towards Verem,\u201d Lobo said.
