Bahamas.- China Construction Company (CCA) revealed that they could miss another deadline as the company\u2019s supplier still holds 50 percent of the project\u2019s lounge chairs. An ex official urged the government to investigate the issue and called the delay an insult.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a heck of a stretch for a $4.2 billion project to be held up by a couple of lounge chairs. There\u2019s something wrong with that. It doesn\u2019t compute. That\u2019s such a nominal amount,\u201d said Stephen Wrinkle, a former Bahamian Contractors Association (BCA) president, as Tribune242 revealed. Minister of Tourism Dionsio D\u2019Aguilar agreed and said that whilst he hasn\u2019t had any recent contact with foreign contractors, a delay of a billion project over 1420 lounge chairs is very odd. He also declared that he will investigate in order to confirm if the opening date is still on track.<\/p>\n
