William Hill appoints new CEO
The board of William Hill has announced that Ulrik Bengtsson has been appointed as CEO to replace Philip Bowcock.
UK.- Amid major changes in which William Hill is shifting its focus towards digital channels, the company has announced that its current Chief Executive Officer Philip Bowcock will be replaced by the company’s Chief Digital Officer, Ulrik Bengtsson.
Ulrik Bengtsson has been appointed CEO Designate and a Director of the Company with immediate effect. William Hill said that Bengtsson will assume full CEO responsibilities from September 30. Ulrik joined William Hill in April 2018 and was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of Betsson AB, a gaming company listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm Large Cap list.

To assist with the transition, Bowcock will continue working with the company until December 31, 2019. This change is part of William Hill’s succession planning and consistent with the group’s strategy of becoming a digitally-led and internationally diverse gambling company.
