Wiliam Hill’s online division experiences growth
The British gambling operator highlighted its mobile sportsbook operations.
UK.- William Hill posted its financial results for the third quarter and the whole year overall. The gambling operator reported that the overall group revenue was 6 percent higher in the third quarter than the last numbers registered and 3 percent higher in the 43 weeks to October 25.
The online net revenue grew 4 percent during the 17 weeks prior to October 25 but remained flat compared to the same period in 2015. William Hill’s net revenue from its core markets such as the UK, Spain and italy showed a 2 percent growth in those weeks, whilst other online markets experienced a 22 percent expansion in its net revenue in the third quarter.
Philip Bowcock, William Hill Interim CEO, said that the good results from the mobile sportsbook sector brought a significant growth to their online division, and he confirmed that they’re planning on implementing changes to expand its internet gambling business in order to offer a better experience to players.
