Westgate Las Vegas opens poker room
The gambling facility known for the biggest sports book in Las Vegas inaugurated a new poker room.
US.- Westgate Resorts held a soft opening of its new six-table poker room last week, which is now located where the sports book Fan Cave was previously featured. The gambling facility opened and closed poker rooms several times in the past few years.
Poker Room Supervisor David Fried said that the possibility of bringing poker back to Westgate Las Vegas had always been a possibility, but the recent interest made it possible. “[Management] really wanted to open this up again. It happened pretty quickly,” said Fried, as Cards Chat reported. The room is set to copy the former Fan Cave and is expected to be open for the NFL season. “We have the three large projection TVs on one wall and four large flat screens on the other. I want to get some more TVs on the other side as well. It will be perfect for football season,” said the supervisor to the news outlet.
Whilst he believes that the opening will be word of mouth at first, he’s confident that people will found out about the poker room “pretty quickly.” Daily US$40 tournaments will take place at 11 am and 7pm. “We wanted to have lots of incentives for players. We’ll start giving away buffets or restaurants credits starting at three hours of play.”
