“We have continued with monthly releases of new games”
(Exclusive interview).- Focus Gaming News speaks to Irina Rusimova, Business Development Manager at EGT Interactive.
A sudden switch to home office working amid a global pandemic has done nothing to slow down online casino games supplier EGT Interactive. The Sofia-based company has been as productive as ever, producing a new game each month including last months medieval-themed Knight’s Heart.
“Our productivity level has remained the same,” says Business Development Manager Irina Rusimova, adding that 40 new members of staff have joined the company since Covid-19 lockdowns began.
Some of the company’s achivements in that time include certifying games for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Belarus, and signing new partnerships, integrating with new operators and seeing games launched in some of their core markets such as Serbia, Croatia and Romania.
“We’ve continued with monthly releases of new games.”

Ms Rusimova recognises that online gaming has received a boost during lockdown due to the absence of alternatives, and feels this will give the company momentum moving forwards.
“With some small exceptions (like Latvia, where online gambling was prohibited) the casino segment really saw growth during lockdown,” she said.
“With this push we will be able to reach new heights.”

Looking ahead, Ms Rusimova said EGT Interactive will grow its presence in Spain and Italy and aims to get into as many regulated markets as possible to give more visibility to the company’s games.
“There are some new partnerships that I’m very excited about,” she said.
