Complex needs, simple solutions: why companies choose ReferOn
Vlad Bondarenko, head of Product at ReferOn shared insights about the company’s affiliate management platform.
Exclusive interview.- In a competitive scene, ReferOn has been able to shake up affiliate management. To know more about the company’s strategy, Focus Gaming News caught up with Vlad Bondarenko, head of Product at ReferOn. Bondarenko explained that while their competitors focus on continuously adding more features, they focus on making theirs adaptable. He also revealed the company’s expectations ahead of iGB L!VE.
Since bursting onto the scene, ReferOn has been out to shake up affiliate management. How would you assess the success so far?
We’ve done more than just make noise. We’ve completely rethought how affiliate systems should work. In under two years, over 70 affiliate programmes have chosen ReferOn. The proof? Clients who trialled us with one brand are now moving their full portfolio over. For them, features like automation, clear postback tracking, fast payments, and clean UX aren’t optional — they’re essential.
How has the company managed to stand out in such a competitive space?
We don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” platforms. While our competitors focus on continuously adding more features, we focus on making ours adaptable. Clients value our flexible reporting, easy postback setup, custom reward tools, advanced KPI tracking, multi-brand dashboards, and intuitive UI that works straight out of the box. Our competitive advantage is that our features are flexible, easily scalable, and easy to use right away.

How do you help make migrations easier for clients?
We’ve built a migration process that removes common friction points. We follow a simple principle: migrations should be our job, not the client’s headache. That’s why we’ve automated the process as much as possible. All we need from the client is certain pieces of data, and we take it from there. Our team maps, imports, and tests everything, from player IDs to reward structures. In most cases, clients don’t need to lift a finger. The switch happens quietly in the background, often in under two weeks. No disruption, no downtime.
ReferOn overhauled its payments process this year. What’s changed?
We rebuilt the entire payments module using logic from finance systems. Now, clients get full visibility on accruals, bulk actions, and control over payout rules by brand, GEO, or even individual players. You can match your internal workflow or integrate directly. The result? Fewer errors, better tracking, and less time wasted fixing manual payout issues.
What features do you receive the most feedback on?
Clients love our live reporting, sub-affiliate tools, and customisable dashboards. They often mention how easy it is to break down stats by brand, GEO, or source, and how real-time data (updated hourly) helps them act faster.
Other features that have also been praised:
- Our sub-affiliate system
- Pivot-style live reports
- Smart reward logic (including deal splitting and inheritance)
- Flexible payment rules
- Click-to-player funnels and engagement tracking
- Unified interface with persistent filters and stat toggles
