Virginia casinos generate $102.48m in July revenue
Casino tax collections reached approximately $20.3m during the month.
US.- Virginia’s three permanent casinos plus the temporary gaming facilities in Petersburg and Norfolk generated $102.48m in adjusted gaming revenue (AGR) in July, according to data released by the Virginia Lottery. The figure represents an 11.33 per cent increase from June.
Caesars Virginia in Danville posted the highest AGR among the state’s casinos, with $36.1m. The property’s 1,544 slot machines generated around $27.07 m, while its 88 table games contributed nearly $9m. Meanwhile, Rivers Casino Portsmouth generated $ 28.68 m in AGR in July, with its 1,416 slots accounting for about $ 20.61 m. Its 90 table games generated an additional $8m during the month.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol reported nearly $ 22.99 m in AGR, including $ 19.08 m from its 1,328 slot machines. Its 73 table games generated $ 3.91 m. Petersburg’s temporary casino generated $ 13.8 m, with $10.2 m from its 926 slots. Its 32 table games contributed $ 3.6m. The facility opened on January 22. Construction of the permanent Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia began in March 2025.
Finally, Norfolk’s Interim Gaming Hall recorded $ 884,972 in AGR during July, with the full amount generated by its 132 slot machines. The temporary facility, which opened on November 7, 2025, does not offer table games.
