Vermont sports betting handle increases in April
The handle increased 8 per cent year-on-year.
US.- Vermont Liquor and Lottery has reported that the state’s sports betting handle was $17.5m. That’s an increase of 8 per cent year-on-year. Adjusted gross wagering revenue was $2.1m. Winnings totalled $15.3m.
According to the report, basketball led the market with a $5.2m handle, followed by baseball with a $2.7m handle and tennis with $1.2m. Of the total handle, $13.5m was bet in Vermont and $4m outside the state. There were 15,103 active users, with 9,647 in the state and 5,456 elsewhere. The number of bets totalled 646,287: 523,035 in Vermont and 123,252 outside the state.
