UKGC advises gambling operators
The gambling commission told operators to provide the conditions of their promotions.
UK.- The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) published a notice where they advised gambling operators to provide their customers the full, fair and transparent conditions of the bonus promotions that they offer.
The UKGC said that gambling companies should learn from TGP Europe Ltd, Fesuge Ltd, and the problems that they had last year that were related to bonus abuse. The public statement firmly encouraged operators to read the details of what they considered failings related to a bonus offer from Cheltenham Festival. They believe that it is important to make sure that the terms are fair and easy to read and understand for the costumers.
In order to solve the problem with Cheltenham Festival, the UKGC worked with the regulatory body of the Isle of Man, the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS) and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Both companies did not implement the terms of the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 (CRA), and they’re trying to avoid this problem from happening again.
