UK grants sports betting license

The local gambling commission announced that it issued a new license.

UK.- The UK Gambling Commission announced that it granted a sports betting license to Gaming Innovation Group (GIG), a company that already offered iGaming services in the country through subsidiaries.

The company will be able to offer sports betting services through its own brand and third party operator clients. Guts.com and SuperLenny.com will be the company’s two first brands to feature sports betting on the largest online gaming market in Europe. Robin Reed, CEO of GIG, said that being awarded a license is a great achievement for the company, which will benefit both his internal B2C brands and his white label customers who can also offer sports betting services to end-users.

“The UK is amongst the most competitive markets for sports betting worldwide and entering the market is a bold statement of our intentions within sports betting and within our regulated market strategy,” he added.
