Wynn seeks senior gaming compliance director ahead of 2027 UAE casino resort launch

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a gaming compliance director as it prepares for the UAE’s first regulated commercial gaming resort. The role will oversee anti-money laundering (AML) controls, regulatory reporting and engagement with the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) and UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
The vacancy comes as Wynn prepares for its planned 2027 opening in Ras Al Khaimah, with the resort set to operate under the GCGRA’s commercial gaming framework. It forms part of a wider recruitment drive as Wynn builds its compliance, regulatory and gaming teams ahead of launch.
The ‘Director – Gaming Compliance’ position is listed on Wynn Al Marjan Island’s official careers platform under Job ID 1895, with the vacancy posted on July 15, 2026, and applications closing on August 17, 2026.
The vacancy says the successful candidate will “act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (Deputy MLRO)”, supporting the MLRO and assuming responsibilities in their absence, including the review, escalation and filing of suspicious activity reports.
The director will lead Wynn’s AML and counter-terrorism financing (CFT) programme, overseeing suspicious activity investigations, customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), source of funds and source of wealth verification, and risk assessments for high-risk gaming customers and politically exposed persons (PEPs).
The position will also oversee the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) through the UAE FIU’s goAML platform and ensure regulatory reporting requirements are completed.
The vacancy says that the successful candidate will “lead and manage GCGRA examinations, internal audits, and annual independent testing of the AML Compliance Programme”, while acting as a primary contact point for regulators and managing compliance reviews.
Candidates are required to have experience in AML/CFT compliance, gaming compliance or related fields, with knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements, GCGRA requirements, gaming systems and suspicious activity reporting processes.

Wynn expands gaming leadership recruitment

The operator is also seeking a Director – Gaming Special Events, a position focused on gaming marketing, player development, tournaments, themed events and VIP experiences.
According to the vacancy, the successful candidate will “develop and execute the annual gaming marketing and events strategy” to drive visitation, loyalty and gaming revenue.
The position will work with Gaming Hosts and VIP Services to target domestic, international, premium mass and high-net-worth customers.
The position also requires gaming promotions and events to comply with gaming regulations, AML/CFT requirements, data protection obligations and responsible gaming policies.
