UAE’s GCGRA representatives to address AML and regulatory design at IAGR 2026 Conference
UAE’s GCGRA will be represented by Manuela Croci and Sonia Wasowska at IAGR 2026, where they will address anti-money laundering and regulatory design.
UAE’s General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) will be represented by Manuela Croci and Sonia Wasowska at the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) 2026 Conference in Peru, where they will address anti-money laundering and regulatory design.
The two GCGRA representatives have been confirmed among the featured speakers at the conference, which will take place in Lima, Peru, from October 19 to 22, 2026.
Held under the theme “Steady Hands, Shifting Ground: Advancing Regulation in a Connected World,” the conference will bring together gaming regulators, policymakers, compliance professionals, lottery organisations and industry leaders from around the world to discuss issues shaping the global gaming sector.
Croci is GCGRA’s Chief of Supervision & Financial Crime Prevention, while Wasowska serves as Head of Supervision at the UAE regulator.
According to the published IAGR 2026 programme, Croci will speak on anti-money laundering (AML), while Wasowska will address regulatory design for newer jurisdictions. Croci’s participation also follows her appointment to the IAGR Board of Trustees earlier this year. Their participation places the GCGRA among international discussions shaping the future of gaming oversight.
IAGR said: “Government lottery organisations and gaming regulators often operate under different mandates, but many of today’s challenges cut across those boundaries.”
According to the conference organiser, the programme will examine practical opportunities for cooperation on consumer protection, responsible gambling, emerging technologies, illegal market risks, intelligence sharing and public trust, alongside broader discussions on regulatory innovation and international cooperation.
