UAE Lottery hosts financial awareness workshop for Abu Dhabi school transport workers
The initiative was organised under the “Opportunities” pillar of H.O.P.E., the corporate social responsibility platform of The UAE Lottery.
The UAE Lottery has partnered with SmartLife Foundation and GEMS Education’s Premier Schools Accommodation to host a financial awareness workshop for more than 60 school bus drivers and helpers in Abu Dhabi.
The session, held on June 18, focused on practical financial skills, including budgeting, saving, fraud prevention and retirement planning. Participants also took part in quizzes and received certificates following the training.
The initiative was organised under the “Opportunities” pillar of H.O.P.E., the corporate social responsibility platform of The UAE Lottery, which is operated by The Game L.L.C. under Momentum Group.
Suzan Kazzi, associate director of corporate social responsibility at Momentum – The UAE Lottery, said financial literacy helps individuals build confidence and long-term security. “Through HOPE, we are committed to driving initiatives that equip individuals with practical life skills to help them build better opportunities for themselves and shape a more secure future,” she said.
Kazzi added that the programme reflects the organisation’s commitment to partnerships that create lasting benefits for communities.
Abhijeet Oak, vice president at SmartLife Foundation, said many blue-collar workers have limited access to structured financial education despite supporting families and managing household responsibilities. “Through partnerships like this, we can help individuals make informed financial decisions, build healthier financial habits and plan more confidently for the future,” he said.
According to the organisers, the workshop is part of wider efforts to promote financial resilience and support social impact priorities across the UAE.
