UAE regulator grants vendor licence to Arena Racing Company
The UK-based supplier will provide horse and greyhound racing betting content through its Racing1 Markets platform to licensed operators in the emerging market.
The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) has granted a gaming-related vendor licence to UK-based supplier Arena Racing Company (ARC). The approval allows the company to supply racing betting products and services to licensed operators as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) expands its regulated gaming market.
The federal regulator oversees commercial gaming activities in the country, including lotteries, igaming, land-based gaming and sports wagering. The newly granted licence enables ARC to supply its Racing1 Markets product, delivering horse and greyhound racing betting content and data to local operators.
According to European Gaming, Jack Whitaker, Commercial Manager at ARC, said: “Obtaining this licence is a great achievement for ARC and its Racing1 partners. The emerging regulated UAE market is incredibly exciting and we look forward to showcasing our innovative products and services in the region.”
Racing1 Markets is developed in partnership with Racecourse Media Group, 1/ST Content and Tabcorp. Arena Racing Company operates several racecourses and racing media businesses in the United Kingdom and supplies racing betting products to operators in international markets.
