Two Mississippi casinos to offer sports betting
Caesars reported that it will start its operations in the state by mid-August.
US.- In a move to expand its operations across the United States, Caesars Entertainment announced that sports betting operations will be launched at Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi and Horseshoe Tunica by mid-August.
The Mississippi Gaming Commission said earlier this month that there are currently 13 riverboat and land-based properties under review after they applied for licences. While the standing period finished last week, casinos are still renovating their floors in order to be able to build sports bars and meet other requirements before they can actually be approved to start operations.
Caesars wants to expand its operations to a mobile app for the state of New Jersey, but Mississippi’s gaming commissioner Allen Godfrey said that no property has applied to run sports betting on cell phones or other mobile devices yet.
