Tsvetomira Drumeva, Head of Sales at EGT Digital, discusses the company’s modular platform strategy and strategic expansion into regulated igaming markets.

Exclusive interview.- As operators look to create more connected player experiences, the value of technology increasingly lies in how different solutions work together without limiting flexibility. EGT Digital is responding with a modular approach that brings platform technology, sportsbook, casino content, aggregation, payments and player engagement into a broader ecosystem.

In this exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News, Tsvetomira Drumeva, head of sales at EGT Digital, discusses how the company is developing X-Nave to give operators the flexibility to combine individual solutions or adopt a more integrated technology setup. She also explores the evolution of Bonus Hub, the role of engagement tools in casino and the company’s approach to developing game franchises that can remain recognisable while continuing to offer players new experiences.

Looking towards 2027, Drumeva outlines EGT Digital’s priorities across product development, regulated-market expansion and the continued growth of its ecosystem. She highlights opportunities across Latin America, Africa, the Baltics and Nordics, as well as the company’s plans to strengthen its presence in markets including Argentina and Brazil while continuing to build stronger connections between its different technology verticals.

EGT Digital enters the second half of 2026 with an increasingly integrated offering spanning Sportsbook, casino, aggregation, payments and player engagement. To what extent are operators moving away from individual products and towards complete technology ecosystems?

I wouldn’t say that operators are simply moving away from individual products. What we are seeing is a growing demand for technologies that can work together much more effectively, while still giving operators the flexibility to choose the solutions that make sense for their business.

This is very much the philosophy behind X-Nave, EGT Digital’s modular igaming platform. It brings together our Sportsbook, Gaming Aggregator, CRM Engine and Payment Gateway within one technology ecosystem, but adopting the entire platform is not a requirement. Partners can work with EGT Digital on specific solutions according to their needs and existing technology infrastructure, or take advantage of a more integrated setup. This flexibility is important because there is no single model that works for every operator or every market.

At the same time, the value of greater integration is becoming increasingly clear. When different parts of the operation communicate effectively, operators can create more consistent player journeys, react faster to player behaviour and manage their business more efficiently.

Our Sportsbook is a good example of how this broader side of EGT Digital’s portfolio is evolving. It has become an increasingly important part of our offering, with continuous development not only of the core betting experience, but also of distinctive engagement features and promotional tools. Its ability to work within the wider X-Nave platform allows us to create stronger connections between different parts of the player experience.

“The future isn’t about choosing between standalone products and complete ecosystems. It’s about having the flexibility to build the right technology setup for your business.”

Tsvetomira Drumeva, head of sales of EGT Digital.

As competition for players intensifies, engagement tools are becoming almost as important as the content itself. How is EGT Digital developing its Bonus Hub to help operators create more engaging and differentiated casino experiences?

Great content will always be at the heart of the casino experience, but today operators are also looking at how they can create more interaction around that content. Players have access to an enormous choice of games, so the challenge is not only to attract their attention, but to give them more reasons to stay engaged and come back.

This is exactly where we are developing our Bonus Hub. The idea is to give operators a flexible set of tools that allows them to build different promotional experiences around their casino offering, rather than relying on a single type of campaign. The platform supports different tournament formats, including Network, Multi and Buy Bonus Tournaments, alongside Gift Spins and Gift Buy Bonus campaigns, leaderboards and Replay functionality.

An important part of the development is also giving operators greater flexibility in how these campaigns are created and managed. They can target participation by player, game or casino, run multiple campaigns across different brands and player groups, configure scheduling and participation mechanics, and monitor activity in real time. At the same time, processes such as scoring and prize distribution can be automated, which makes it possible to create more sophisticated campaigns without adding the same level of operational complexity.

For us, the goal is to combine creativity on the player side with simplicity on the operational side. Operators should have the freedom to experiment with different campaign formats, tailor them to different audiences and scale successful ideas, without making campaign management unnecessarily complex.

As online casino continues to evolve, players are being exposed to an ever-wider range of game mechanics, features and experiences. How is this influencing EGT Digital’s approach to content development, and what makes a concept worth developing into a longer-term franchise?

Players today have access to an enormous variety of games, mechanics and features, and naturally this is influencing how we think about content development. But for us, innovation doesn’t necessarily mean making every game more complex. It means understanding what players are looking for and developing the portfolio in different directions to meet those preferences.

One clear trend is that players increasingly expect more features and greater flexibility in how they experience a game. This is one of the reasons we have introduced Buy Bonus functionality to a number of existing titles, giving players more choice within games they already know and enjoy.

At the same time, we continue to build on established concepts by developing new titles within some of our strongest jackpot series, including Bell Link, Clover Chance and Gods & Kings Link. This allows us to introduce new themes and experiences around mechanics that players already recognise.

We are also expanding successful game families such as Ventura, which has grown from Panda Ventura to include Tiger Ventura and newer additions such as Gecko, Rabbit and Ox Ventura. And at the other end of the spectrum, our standalone High RTP games respond to players looking for a different, more straightforward proposition. All of this reflects a broader approach to content development: there is no single type of experience that appeals to every player.

There is also a difference between evolving the portfolio and deciding that a particular concept has the strength to become a longer-term franchise. For us, that comes down to whether the concept establishes a distinctive identity that players respond to and, equally importantly, whether there is enough creative potential to take it further. Expanding a family should not mean simply reproducing the original game with a different theme. Each addition needs to feel connected to the concept while bringing something new to it.

“A strong franchise has to achieve two things: it needs to be recognisable enough for players to know what they are coming back to, but flexible enough to keep giving them something new.”

Tsvetomira Drumeva, head of sales of EGT Digital.

Looking towards 2027, where will EGT Digital’s main strategic priorities lie: product development, expansion into new regulated markets, further growth of the X-Nave ecosystem, or greater integration between its different verticals?

I don’t really see these as separate priorities, because increasingly they are connected. Our focus for 2027 will be on strengthening the individual parts of our portfolio, expanding in the right markets and creating greater value from the way our solutions work together.

Product development will naturally remain at the centre of that. On the casino side, we will continue investing strongly in our in-house games – creating new concepts, expanding established jackpot series such as Bell Link, Clover Chance and Gods & Kings Link, growing game families such as Ventura, and introducing features and mechanics that give players greater choice. We will also continue diversifying the portfolio with propositions such as our standalone High RTP games.

The Gaming Aggregator will remain another important area of development. With more than 20,000 games from over 200 providers, the focus is not simply on increasing those numbers, but on strengthening the diversity and quality of the content and the capabilities around it. Sportsbook is also becoming an increasingly important part of our portfolio, and we will continue developing both the core betting experience and distinctive features and engagement opportunities around it.

All of this also contributes to the continued evolution of X-Nave, EGT Digital’s modular igaming platform, and to creating stronger connections across our broader offering.

Geographic expansion will be equally important. LatAm remains a major focus: in Argentina, we are strengthening our presence with a new office and a significantly expanded team, while in Brazil we are taking localisation further by developing games specifically for the market. We also see strong potential for continued growth across Africa.

In Europe, we are looking closely at further opportunities in the Baltics and Nordics. We already hold a licence in Sweden, the licensing process in Denmark is underway, and we are preparing for Finland’s new regulatory framework. New Zealand is another market we are following closely as its new regulatory environment develops.

For us, expansion is not simply about entering more markets. It is about understanding where we can build a sustainable presence, adapting our offering where necessary and having the right products and capabilities to support our partners over the long term.

So, the next stage of our growth is not simply about having a broader portfolio or a wider geographic footprint. It is about creating more value from both – individually and together.
