Treasure Island Resort & Casino names Mike Heavner as General Manager

Heavner has been with the property for 25 years.

US.- Treasure Island Resort & Casino has appointed Mike Heavner as general manager. The move continues the Prairie Island Indian Community’s practice of internal succession at the tribally owned property.

Heavner joined Treasure Island in 2001 as assistant controller of gaming and became director of finance in 2008. He held that position for 18 years and served as interim general manager several times before taking on the role permanently.

“Treasure Island has been an important part of my life and career for the past 25 years, and I am honoured to serve our team members, guests and the Prairie Island Indian Community members as general manager. I look forward to building on our strong foundation, delivering a first-class guest experience, supporting our team members and continuing to make Treasure Island the top resort destination and employer in our region”, he stated.

Before joining Treasure Island, Heavner worked at Primm Valley Resort & Casino near Las Vegas and held finance positions at MGM Resorts. His tenure at Treasure Island included oversight of capital projects, including the recent renovation of the hotel’s Buffalo Tower.

“For more than two decades, Mike has been an integral part of Treasure Island’s success. His longevity, unwavering commitment to our team members and guests, and the trust he has built throughout the organisation reflect the qualities we value most in a leader,” said Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Council President Grant Johnson.
