“We will display a new product that maximises casino performance”
(Exclusive interview).- Tracey Chernay, Senior Vice President, Global Casino and Gaming at TransAct, talked with Focus Gaming News about this year’s G2E Las Vegas.
The upcoming edition of G2E Las Vegas is just a few days away, and as the biggest event in North America, the most important companies of the industry will exhibit their products in Las Vegas.
Once again, TransAct will be part of G2E Las Vegas, and Tracey Chernay, Senior Vice President, Global Casino and Gaming, talked with Focus Gaming News about the company’s expectations, as well as what the public will find at their booth.
What do you expect to achieve at such a massive show like G2E Las Vegas?
G2E is one of the biggest shows we attend, and we look forward to joining our colleagues, partners and casinos from around the globe to present our industry-leading printer and software solutions. The show always gives us the opportunity to visit with our customers, so we expect to receive a lot of feedback on our products. We also expect to make many new contacts and clients as we show them how they can improve their businesses with TransAct.
You’ve highlighted the Epic Edge at recent industry events, what can we expect from TransAct in the US?
We will definitely continue to display the Epic Edge™, which is the newest and best choice in TITO printers. We’re very excited about showing casino operators how they can optimise their revenue by incorporating a printer with an unmatched 300 DPI resolution and many more cutting-edge features. The question becomes “Why would you choose old technology when you can have the newest and most advanced technology available?” It’s like choosing the old brick car phone vs your iPhone or Android phone of today.

Additionally, we’re happy to announce we will be displaying a new product that is also set to maximise casino performance. We are confident that operators will be impressed with this product, which will be shown at G2E for the very first time. We welcome all attendees to stop by Booth 2423 to view our “Epic” line of gaming products.
Earlier this year, the company highlighted the arrival of Epic 880 printers in US casinos after sports betting liberalisation. How is TransAct currently performing in the country?
Sports betting kiosk manufacturers are still selecting the Epic 880®, since it has been proven to be reliable and flexible in established sports betting markets across the world. Featuring a modular design that is configurable to nearly any space, we expect to see a continued interest for the Epic 880 as more states approve sports betting.

What markets is the company looking to exploit next?
TransAct’s Epic printers have been a key component of the player experience across slot machines, gaming machines and tables for more than 15 years. While casinos continue to be our primary customer base, non-casino gaming also represents important markets for us.
We’re pleased to say that our printers are flexible to work with Video Lottery Terminals (VLT), which are incorporated in road operations, horse tracks and truck stops. As mentioned earlier, we also expect to see more growth with our Epic 880 printers as sports betting continues to be approved by jurisdictions in the United States.
