TransAct to show its “Edge” and more at AGE

This year’s event marks the 30th anniversary of AGE and TransAct is ready to be part of it.

Australia.- The Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) is fast approaching and TransAct will present its leading gaming products in the Harbour City once again. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the largest gaming and hospitality exhibition in the southern hemisphere, and attendance is expected to continue to soar.

“AGE is an exciting show and a perfect match to display our cutting-edge products,” said Rashid Suliman, Vice President of Global Gaming in Asia Pacific at TransAct Technologies. “As we continue to roll out the launch of the Epic Edge, we look forward to showing attendees why this is the most advanced casino printer out there.”

The Epic Edge offers over two-fold of improvement in image quality over current industry options thanks to its unmatched 300 DPI print resolution. This high-resolution allows the printer to replicate a nearly unlimited array of characters of multiple languages to fit the needs of casinos worldwide. At the same time, the Epic Edge creates razor-sharp barcodes for better ticket acceptance and reduced attendant calls, driving measurable improvement in casino performance and allowing slot and table operations to run at peak efficiency.

The printer also allows for firmware updates via a full-speed USB 2.0 connection or directly via a micro SD card, making the process of updating firmware speedier and more convenient than ever. In addition, the Epic Edge is fully equipped with serial and USB interfaces that are all conveniently built into a single board. As such, casino operators only need to inventory a single printer, for any game. Environmentally conscious, the printer also contains an adjustable ticket bucket that accommodates standard and smaller, paper-saving tickets to work with ecological programs being implemented in casinos.

“In addition to being the best choice in casino printers, the ‘Edge’ is also flexible to work in other industries,” said Suliman. “The Pub and Club market in some states of Australia are still relatively new to TITO, so there are major growth opportunities for the Epic Edge as regulations are approved.”

At the show, TransAct will also display Epicentral, the only field-proven enterprise software solution that allows the casino operator to get more out of their ticket printers than cash-out vouchers across the entire casino floor. Designed to deliver casino revenue growth, Epicentral has successfully driven increased gameplay, time on device and player loyalty for more than six years and it is the natural choice for operators looking to implement printed ticket bonuses on their gaming floors.

The Company’s Epic 880 will also be a highlight at AGE, as it is the preferred roll printer that is incorporated into all the leading sports betting kiosks. Additional displays include the Epic 430, which is used in kiosk applications and the Epic 3000, the chosen printer in countless lottery jurisdictions around the world.

TransAct’s gaming team will be on hand at Stand 365 and would love to talk through its range of products to and anyone who wants to stop by. For more information, please visit transact-tech.com.
