US.- Global leader in software-driven technology and printing solutions for high-growth market, TransAct Technologies Incorporated will exhibit its full suite of innovative gaming technology and print solutions at the 2017 Northwest Indian Gaming Conference & Expo (WIGA), to be held June 19-21, at the Tulalip Resort Casino in Tulalip, Washington.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TransAct Technologies, Bart C. Shuldman, said that as a leading provider of print and technology solutions to the global gaming industry, TransAct is uniquely positioned to enable operators of all sizes to capitalise on the growing reliance on the printed coupon as a way to drive play and grow revenue. “We are delighted to return to Washington and demonstrate to WIGA 2017 attendees how our full suite of unique solutions – including the all-new Epic Edge printer and our powerful versions of Epicentral – are the best-in-class options for casino to deliver valuable printed coupons directly to players at the slot machine or electronic table game of their choice,” he added.
Building on the proven performance of TransAct’s industry-leading Epic 950, the next-generation Epic Edge delivers a host of technological advances. As the first ticket-in/ticket out (“TITO”) printer to offer 300 dpi print resolution, representing a 50% improvement over current printers, the Epic Edge produces razor sharp barcodes that drive improved bill validator acceptance and reduce attendant calls while allowing for more attractive coupon designs that enhance Epicentral implementations. The Epic Edge also features an adjustable ticket bucket that allows operators to use smaller tickets to save money and reduce paper usage. Furthermore, as a drop-in replacement for the Epic 950, operators can easily run the Epic Edge and Epic 950 side-by-side. Other key features include: single outer chassis with Serial, USB and Netplex ports to allow the printer to work with any machine type; hot swap capability to eliminate game downtime, two high-speed interfaces for firmware and graphics updates: USB and Micro SD; Upgraded ServerPort™ connection; rugged metal chassis design.
“In our ongoing efforts to deliver solutions that improve our customers’ operations, the new Epic Edge and its industry-first high-resolution print capabilities dramatically extends our technical, feature and performance leadership. With the new Epic Edge, operators can provide for their patrons the highest quality printed tickets and ultimately improve the customer experience by reducing bill validator errors and better coupon design for their Epicentral implementations,” added Mr. Shuldman.
Two distinct Epicentral versions that enhance the capabilities of the Company’s unique solution will be on display at WIGA 2017: Epicentral v3.8 and Epicentral SE.
