Three months of growth for Kansas casino

Kansas Hollywood Casino has reported three consecutive months of growth as operators published November’s results.

US.- Operators of Hollywood Casino, located in Kansas, have revealed the latest financial results after closing November’s report. For the last three consecutive months, the gaming venue in Kansas Speedway has shown an increase in its financial operations, as gaming revenues achieved US$12 million in November.

According to Keith Kocher, director of program assurance and integrity for the Kansas Lottery, said that the casino “has had reports of high gaming revenues for each of the past three months, their best-ever reports for those particular months.” Hollywood Casino’s report on gaming operations were sent to the Kansas Lottery Commission last Monday, and the authorities have approved it and published it yesterday.

However, Management of Hollywood Casino is worried that the new law that allows 10 satellite casinos to be added at least 25 miles away from current casinos would hurt the local business, as residents could lose their jobs. Municipalities have to decide whether a casino is okay for them or not and under the new law the resolution prohibiting casinos has a January 1 deadline. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is set to hold the first blind auction for one of the casino licenses on January 16. The minimum bid is set on US$7.5 million and only local casino owners can submit their offers.
