TGG Takara Gaming Group to install its iGaming services throughout Southeast Asia.
Cambodia.- TGG Takara Gaming Group has landed in Cambodia ready to expand its services throughout Southeast Asia. The Hong Kong gaming company is renowned for its online gaming solutions, which enable programmers to develop games on an open-source basis.
TGG co-founder and chief executive, Raymond Chan said: “TGG is eyeing the potential of Southeast Asia. Much of the new [casino business] growth has come from Chinese visitors, the major reason behind this is due to the booming of the economy in the Asian regions.” And added: “We are excited to make our first entry into Cambodia… It marks another milestone for TGG in the East Asia market.”
Southeast Asia is the latest major gaming market to be unlocked by TGG, following on from Korea, Singapore, and Europe. The successful deployment in Cambodia is expected to open up the gateway towards other countries in the region in the near future. The growth in casino gaming in Southeast Asia over the last few years has reached record highs, with research data showing that the Asia-Pacific market grew to become the dominant global player between 2005 and 2015.
According to the data from the National Bank of Cambodia, it’s estimated that the income generated by casinos from non-residents is around € 1.6 billion annually, representing around 40 percent of the total amount spent by foreign visitors in 2016.
