Terre Haute casino soon to get a developer

Spectacle Entertainment is likely to get a permit to develop a new Terre Haute casino after it was the only applicant for the gaming licence.

US.- The race to develop a new gaming venue in Indiana seems to already have a winner. The new Terre Haute casino only drew interest from Spectacle Entertainment, the lone applicant for a licence.

Spectacle owns Gary’s Majestic Star casinos on Lake Michigan. According to Sara Tait, executive director of the Indiana Gaming Commission, it was the only one to apply in time.

The commission will now assess the potential economic benefits, tax revenue, new jobs and US$100 million minimum investment. Should it clear that review, Spectacle would get the Terre Haute casino licence and develop the venue.

As they have already revealed, Spectacle would develop a Hard Rock Casino brand venue.

From Lake County to Gary

The Indiana Gaming Commission has approved a plan that relocates and consolidates two Majestic Star casinos in Lake County into one casino in Gary, Indiana. The facility, to start construction later this year, will be called Hard Rock Casino Gary.

The casino, which will become the second-largest in the territory, will have an attached hotel and parking garage. It will also feature a sportsbook, bars and restaurants. It will also include a Hard Rock Cafe and a music venue called Hard Rock Live.
