Tennessee regulator approves sports betting events

The regulator has approved 17 new operators and an initial list of sports events available for wagering.

US.- The Tennessee Education Lottery’s board of directors has given the green light to a list of sports events to be included when online wagering launches in the state in November.

The events have not yet been revealed but will be published on the Education Lottery’s website in the coming days.

The Sports Wagering Committee has also approved 17 new operators who met its suitability standards.

It had already granted conditional approval to gaming giants BetMGM, DraftKings and FanDuel, and most recently Action247, in anticipation of the November 1 launch of sports betting.

Tennessee will be the first state in the US to launch an all-mobile sports betting market. Casinos and racetracks are prohibited in the state.
