Tasmania government to probe gaming market

Tasmania’s sector will be examined by the Joint Select Committee on Future Gaming Markets.

Australia.- The Tasmania’s Parliament is setting today a general gaming probe into the local market in order to establish a framework to properly cover the activities. The examination will be held by the parliamentary Joint Select Committee on Future Gaming Markets.

The inquiry will determine a further legislation on casinos, Keno betting, and electronic gaming markets. The industry could be completely regulated by 2023 in the Australian State. The assessment will be focused on future tax fees, licensing conditions and community attitudes towards gambling and potential structural features of the framework.

The Joint Select Committee on Future Gaming Markets will study the gaming scenario in Tasmania since this year the Federal Group’s exclusive rights over gaming industry will expire. Every sector would be able to introduce further projects to participate at the opened licensing process.
