Galaxy Macau announced third phase

The company behind the Cotai facility revealed that the third phase will be operational by 2019.

Macau.- Galaxy Entertainment Group has announced that Phase Three of the Galaxy Macau casino will be operational by 2019. Phase four of the facility would also start soon, with projections that it will be functional by 2023.

Galaxy Chairman Lui Che Woo, said: “We hope that by the end of 2019, we can see stage one of Phase 3 completed. That would have extra casino space and also entertainment facilities, including a large-scale arena that can house 16,000 seats.”

Lui also said that Phase Four of the project will start soon, and both phases are set to be completed before 2023. “For Phase 4 – that we are starting work on – we hope that it can bring around 3,000 rooms,” added Lui.

The third phase will see the casino focus on its casino space, as the company wants to finish the renovations before 2022 when the company is expected to renew its Macau gaming licence.
