A casino and resort in Aruba will cover the cost of guests’ health insurance required to enter the island during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Aruba.- Casino in Aruba is offering to cover the cost of Covid-19 insurance for tourists as the island prepares to lift border restrictions with the US.

After authorities said they would require Covid-19 insurance for all visitors coming from the US, the Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino has announced it will offer to pay the costs in order to encourage visitors to the island.

Aruba has arranged with insurance companies based on the island to provide cover to all visitors that arrive from the US without insurance at a cost of $15 per person, per day.

Visitors staying at the Renaissance Aruba will have that insurance included with the resort’s best-rate package. This offer is bookable for dates from Aug 31 for travel up until March 31 2021, and can be cancelled up to 24 hours before arrival.

The casino and resort reopens June 30 with new cleaning and sanitation protocols as well as physical distancing measures.

Guests can check-in using the Marriott Bonvoy app before arriving to bypass front desk and go directly to their room. A special kit including personal anti-bacterial hand towels and in-room hand sanitizer will await guests on arrival.
